HYDERABAD: A public interest petition urged the AP High Court on Monday to pull up the Hyderabad police and the state government for their inaction despite a prior warning from intelligence wings about possible terror attacks in the state capital. It also sought a direction to the state government to take adequate anti-sabotage measures to prevent bomb blasts and save the lives of innocent people. The state government's inaction in preventing recent blasts should be viewed seriously, the petitioner said. Despite intelligence alert about a possible terror strike in the city, the security agencies failed to prevent the twin blasts on February 21 at Dilsukh Nagar in which 16 persons lost their lives and 117 were injured, the PIL said.
