राजस्थान में कांग्रेस के मुख्यमंत्री उम्मीदवार को लेकर जारी विवाद के बीच पार्टी महासचिव और राज्य के पार्टी प्रभारी अविनाश पांडेय ने कहा कि चुनाव पार्टी अध्यक्ष राहुल गांधी के नेतृत्व में लड़ा जाएगा। राज्य में इस साल के अंत में विधानसभा चुनाव होने हैं। पांडेय ने पार्टी नेताओं से कहा कि वे ऐसा कोई भी बयान जारी न करें, जिससे पार्टी का अनुशासन भंग होता हो। पांडेय की टिप्पणी ऐसे समय में आई है, जब इसके ठीक पहले पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत ने उदयपुर में पार्टी की एक बैठक में खुद को मुख्यमंत्री के चेहरे के रूप में पेश किया।  गहलोत ने कहा, “राजस्थान के लोग एक चेहरे से परिचित हैं, जो 10 वर्षो तक मुख्यमंत्री रह चुका है। मुख्यमंत्री के इस चेहरे पर इससे अधिक और क्या स्पष्टीकरण क्या हो सकता है। ” पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री और वयोवृद्ध कांग्रेस नेता लालचंद कटारिया ने हाल ही में कहा था कि गहलोत का नाम पार्टी के मुख्यमंत्री पद के उम्मीदवार के रूप में पेश किया जाना चाहिए। पांडेय ने कहा, “कटारिया एक वरिष्ठ नेता हैं और हम सभी पार्टी को दिए उनके योगदान का सम्मान करते हैं।...

The Congress party's pursuit to stitch a larger anti-BJP alliance for 2019 is already facing challenges from quarters within. The party was confronted with massive rumblings within its West Bengal unit where the state leadership is bitterly divided over alliance options.
