NEW DELHI: The average annual cost of maintenance of each flat in North and South Avenues meant for Members of Parliament is 2.95 lakhs, Lok Sabha was informed. The expenditure incurred per year on the maintenance of the MPs' flats in South and North Avenues per year since 2011-12 has been 17.50 cr, 18.28 cr and 20.45 cr respectively, Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu said in a written reply. He said an expenditure of 3.52 cr has been incurred during April-July 2014 for the maintenance of the flats. Naidu stated that there are a total of 62,952 dwelling units under Type-I to Type-VIII categories General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) in Delhi for allocation to central government employees. These include-56,261 under Type-I to Type-IV, 183 (Type-VII) and 125 (Type-VIII). Minister said that out of turn allotment ranged from 1.19 per cent in respect of Type-I to Type-IV accommodation and 4.37 percent in case of Type-VA category. Naidu

Cuddalore (Tamil Nadu) : Police have arrested a CSI pastor, a youth and three women on charges of forcing two minor girls into prostitution in Cuddalore district.  The pastor and the youth were also charged of raping the minor girls.  The arrested were identified as Aruldoss, 60, from Tittakudi, Satishkumar from Vadalur, Dhanalakshmi, Kala and Jameena from Tittakudi. Police arrested them on Tuesday night and produced them before a magistrate, who remanded them in judicial custody.  Police said the girls, Class 7 and Class 9 dropouts, from Tittakudi went missing on July 8. Their parents lodged a complaint with the Tittakudi police on July 11.  The police managed to trace the girls, one aged 12 years and other 14 years, by tracking the signal from their cellphone.  They detained Satishkumar, with whom the girls spoke frequently, and rescued the girls from his custody.  Inquiries revealed that the girls had been raped by the pastor and Sathiskumar and sold to pimps.  Polic
