Azad Maidan riot : Will this treachery go unpunished?

On the occasion of two years being completed since the riot by fanatics on Azad Maidan in Mumbai

What happened to the violence caused by Raza Academy under the pretext of Fanatic gathering 2 years ago on 11th August ? What happened to the injured police and the lady constable attacked by the fanatics on that day there ? What punishment has been given to those responsible for this kind of unpardonable act ? What punishment has been given to those who were instrumental in preconceiving this riot ? Were all participating in the said riot have been put behind the bar ? Are they punished ? All these questions have remained unanswered.

1. Understand the mentality of kicking and destroying the Monument of Amar Jawan !

It is said that public memory is short; but it is not so with everyone. Where are those intellectuals forgetting Godhra but making furore over Gujarat riots still ? Why the media shouting in the name of Saffron terrorism have shut their mouth regarding the Green terrorism? In the last two years  Investigative journalism didnt get detail information about the Raza Academy or they didn't want to get it ? Why the Home minister R.R. Patil had gone to the Academy 6 days before the riot ? Did he not get the information that it was the same Academy killing brutally the 2 policemen, Gangurde and Jagtap, 6 years ago in Bhivandi ? Or despite getting that information he had gone there ? Is it not true that a message is being given by those who feel that no one can cause any harm to us although we attack the protectors of law by attacking police, killing them and humiliating, dishonoring lady police ? You must be remembering the sadistic pleasure on the faces of the youth destroying the Monument of Amar Jawan. That monument was not any religious place of any faith, yet it was destroyed. Try to realize the mentality behind it. Monument of Jawans is thing of honor. To break it, means like attacking the National pride. It amounts to giving a challenge to the sovereignty of the Nation. To dare to do it, is anti-national. Such anti-nationals should be punished severely at the earliest. But what value do these politicians have while playing vote-politics ? Does any single Muslim organization protested against the act ? Has any Muslim organization came forward to rebuild the Monument ? There was no question of any faith, it was the question of those who kicked the Nation’s honor (Asmita). Did you ban Raza Academy after collecting the damages from them ?

2. Cannot you open your mouth to call Raza Academy communal when they address Hindutvawadi organizations to be communal ?

Addressing the Bajrang dal, Sanatan Sanstha, VHP etc. as communal consistently the media cannot open their mouth to call Raza Academy communal ? If the arrests are not going to be done because they belong to a particular community then it is difficult to manage law and order in the state. I feel like asking those who say that have some patience because of the month of Ramzan, what about arresting Shankaracharya of Kamkoti on Laxmipujan Day during the great festival Diwali ?
How was the permission granted to Raza Academy and other Muslim organisations to hold demonstrations or organise a gathering on Azad Maidan, is the basic question. Anna Hajare was refused permission to go on fast there and permission is granted to show the might in protesting against the suppression of Muslims in Assam, Myanmar. These were the organisations which had taken to stone pelting on the Head Office of the Municipality and at Chhatrapati Shivaji Railway Terminus. Have they forgotten the previous history or have they shun it ? That time instigating speeches were made giving false accounts of the pitiable condition of Muslims in Assam and Myanmar to convey to the crowd that Islam was in danger. That started the commotion in the group. If therey were going to be only demonstrations then how come the gathered mob had things like hockey sticks, iron rods, wooden sticks with iron nails, stones etc. ? Why did the crowd turn violent ? Who gave the inrrtating speeches ? How to get answers to these questions ?

3. What action did the Government take against the organisations acting violently ?

This vicious mob broke the Monument of Amar Jawan; were they not told by anyone that it was an insult to the Nation ? Or was it done purposely ? Was it planned to beat the police or were the police beaten to demoralise them ? Because 52 police including a senior inspector were injured. 3 police vehicles were burnt. 49 buses were broken, O.B. Vans of news channels were gutted in fire. Many vehicles were also burnt. General public was scared. Such riotous mess was going on everywhere.
God knows where the people associated with Human Rights commission otherwise criticising minor things from various channels, were hiding at this time ?Why was not a single Mmuslim organisation came forward to protest against this riot ? Is secularism one sided ? What action did the government take against such riots ? When we will get the answer ?
Who will punish the people attacking the honour of the Nation by destroying the Monument Amar Jawan and those who instigated them to do so ?
