Sins of the DMK in Tamil Nadu !

THE State Assembly elections are due to take place in the states of Assam, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala and Bengal. Various political parties such as the Indian National Congress, Nationalist Congress Party, Communist Party of India, Trinamool Congress, DMK, AIADMK etc. are going to participate in it both at the National and State levels. These parties are known ‘more for their sinful activities and less for their activities in public interest’. We take this opportunity to publish the misdeeds of the main political parties in these states, from the matter available with us. The objective behind publishing this series of articles is to make Hindu voters aware of the sinful activities of these political parties with the help of whom the Central Government is formed, so that they remain vigilant before casting their vote at the ensuing Lok Sabha elections. *Hatred of Karunanidhi the DMK Chief Minister, for Hindus ! *Karunanidhi’s hatred for other states ! *Karunanidhi and his DMK party

Gandhiji -- a corrupt Mahatma in today’s politics?

Karnataka’s former chief minister says in today’s politics, Gandhiji would have been corrupt You may believe it or not, Mahatma Gandhi would have been a corrupt man today if he were to swim or waddle in India's murky politics. If he were to fight corruption, Gandhiji would have quit politics and probably taken to sanyas. Well, this is the view of former chief minister of Karnataka, H D Kumaraswamy, the president of Janata Dal (Secular) and the son of humble farmer turned once-upon-a-time prime minister H D Deve Gowda - a man who began his political journey riding a motorcycle as a contractor in dust-filled Hassan and now owns large tracts of land in and around posh areas of Bangalore. Addressing newspersons in Hubli (north Karnataka), Kumaraswamy said there cannot be politics without corruption. "In the present political scenario, no one can organise a political party, rally or win elections without being in corruption. There could be nothing more far from the truth to say th

Black money: Were agencies sleeping all these years: SC

New Delhi: "Were government sleeping all these years on the issue of blackmoney," was how the Supreme Court today said while criticising Centre's probe restricting to an individual and being evasive about the idea of an investigation by the Special Investigating Team. The apex court said the investigation into the issue of black money required "complete" and "full-fledged" involvement of government as the most important question was about the disclosure of source of money stashed in foreign banks which may be terror money or money coming from drug peddling. A bench of justices B Sudershan Reddy and S S Nijjar asked the governemnt to explain why its investigation is focused only on Pune stud farm owner Hassan Ali Khan and no other name has come out who have stashed money in overseas banks. "Your whole focus is centred on one individual. Does it mean that all the black money parked in foreign banks belong to only one person? Is it that black money

Six issues that shamed India the most

THIS story was published on the eve of Independence Day last year. But it has become relevent today against the backdrop in Baba Ramdev and Anna Hazare's crusade against corruption. Some things never change in India. Will Baba Ramdev and Anna buck this trend? Here is a list of six things/issues that we Indians should be shameful about: Corruption: As old as the country India's date with corruption seems to be as old as the country itself. Starting with the British bribing the Maharajas to gain control of the unconquered lands, it is a long trait that has been a boon and a bane to many. You must be thinking how is it a boon? I'll come to that later. Licence Raj: Corruption Raj since Independence, India's economy has been driven by socialist-inspired policies for practically three to four decades. When Indira Gandhi came to power in 1966, she went on a socialist spree --- Nationalising banks, Garibi hatao campaign and Licence Raj. Licence Raj became synonymous wit

Naidu casts doubts over longevity of UPA govt

SENIOR BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu, while addressing an election rally at Kozhikode in Karela on April 10,2011 said the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre would not last long and alleged that the Prime Minister had "miserably failed" to tackle corruption. Speaking to reporters, Naidu said "I can visualise a second Jayaprakash Narayan movement in the offing. The UPA Government will not last long and the country may have mid-term polls". On the enactment of Lokpal bill, Naidu said the support social activist Anna Hazare received across the country was not only for Lokpal Bill. "It is an expression of people''s anger against corruption", he said. Emphasising the need for "political will" to fight corruption, Naidu alleged that Prime Minister Manomohan Singh had "miserably failed" to take action against the corrupt. Singh "allowed corruption to take place" and thus, the present UPA regime "became the most corrupt
